Ten USO locations in Southwest Asia

As part of the USO Holidays for Heroes program, three-hundred FedEx volunteers (one-third veterans) stuffed 6,000 care packages and 75 holiday care packages in October for service members serving in remote locations this holiday season. The purpose of USO Holidays for Heroes is to keep service members connected to home, no matter how far away they may be. The care packages were stuffed at the FedEx headquarters in Memphis, TN and will be shipped and delivered by the USO to 10 locations in Southwest Asia from approximately Dec 15 through Christmas Eve. The holiday care packages include some of the seasonal comforts of home including holiday movies, cocoa and decorations like reindeer antlers.

Additionally, FedEx is joining the USO as a Force Behind the Forces and helping the USO reach 1.4 million messages for the nearly 1.4 million service members serving globally. Earlier this year, the USO launched Force Behind the Forces, a brand awareness campaign encouraging Americans to stand in support of service members and military families. Supporters like FedEx are asked to join the USO, by visiting to learn how they, too, can become a Force Behind the Forces.

Since 2005, FedEx has worked with the USO by providing charitable shipping to the members of the military and their families. FedEx understands the importance of giving back to the men and women who proudly serve our country.
