Award-winners were selected for their stellar professional achievements, as well as for their community involvement. These executives also serve as inspirational models for future generations.

The Aces of Finance contest was created to highlight the important role played by financial executives within their organizations. In truth, the current economic situation is seeing a number of important changes: the globalization phenomenon, the creation of many new regulatory bodies, and an increase in financial standards are just some of the new realities that financial executives have to confront.

"We are proud to have introduced The Aces of Finance contest this year," comments Bertrand Lauzon, President of the contest organizing committee. "Over the last few years, the role of the financial executive has become increasingly more complex, and now carries greater responsibility. In such a context, it's crucial for financial executives to be treated as business partners that can add value. This contest thus serves to recognize those financial executives and to promote the values so deeply held by members of FEI Canada."

FEI Canada brings together financial executives from across the country. The association supports its members by providing opportunities for networking, training and sharing knowledge (business intelligence) about finance and other fields relating to the work undertaken by financial executives. The Québec Chapter of FEI Canada would like to thank all who participated in The Aces of Finance contest and invites leading financiers in Québec to submit their application for the 2012 edition.
