FEMA Issues RFQ for Four Environmental Monitors

Procurement Set Aside for Small Businesses That Earn Less Than $20.5 Million Yearly


WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwired - September 16, 2015) - The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) issued a Request for Quote on Tuesday, September 15 for the purchase of four environmental monitors. These monitors must be, or equal to, 3M Model EVM-7 Environmental Monitor #70071580123.

Bidders must be able to deliver monitors to Mount Weather, Virginia.

Monitors must include the following options:

  • Data logging
  • Carbon dioxide sensor
  • Carbon monoxide sensor
  • Relative humidity reading
  • Temperature reading
  • Photo ionization detector (PID -- parts per million [or equivalent]) - Volatile Organic Compounds
  • Particulate counter
  • Calibration kit
  • Add-on sensor capabilities

Selection for this RFQ will be made on a Low Price Technically Acceptable basis. Technical submissions must address the following, against which they will be evaluated and are of equal importance: data logging; carbon dioxide sensor; carbon monoxide sensor; relative humidity reading; temperature reading; photo ionization detector (PID -- parts per million [or equivalent]) -- Volatile Organic Compounds; particulate counter; kit for calibration; and add-on sensor capabilities.

Vendors who offer “Or Equal” products must clearly demonstrate that the offered product is truly equal to 3M Model EVM-7 Environmental Monitor #70071580123 (e.g., by full comparison of product, model number, functional and performance characteristics).
