Fewer than 1,000 tickets available for Saturday's game against the New York Islanders

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 20, 2009) - The Ottawa Senators announced today that fewer than 1,000 tickets remain for Saturday's game against the New York Islanders. The Senators host former Senator Dean McAmmond and the New York Islanders for the final time this season. This will mark the first meeting between the teams since the Senators sent McAmmond to Long Island in exchange for defenceman Chris Campoli and forward Mike Comrie on Feb. 20.

Tickets remaining for upcoming games:

Saturday, April 4, vs. Philadelphia Flyers: Fewer than 1,750 tickets remain for the Flyers' second and final visit to Ottawa this season. The Senators lead the season series two games to one and were victorious the last time these teams met at Scotiabank Place on Nov. 6. Flyers centres Mike Richards and Jeff Carter rank in the top 15 in NHL scoring this season.

Prior to both Saturday games, fans can enter Scotiabank Place through Gate 1 for the Sens Gameday Experience, presented by Esso, with doors opening at 10 a.m. for the pre-game skate, which starts at 10:30 a.m. Activities will include face painting and tattoos, T-shirt giveaways and a free Senators poster for the first 500 children in attendance. Non-perishable food items will be accepted for the Ottawa Food Bank. Parking and admission are free for the open skates.

Tuesday, April 7, vs. Boston Bruins: Fewer than 2,000 tickets remain. The Senators host the Eastern Conference-leading Boston Bruins in their second-last home game of the season. Former Senator Zdeno Chara is one goal shy of tying his career high of 17 goals, while Ottawa native Marc Savard currently ranks eighth in league scoring with 75 points.

Thursday, April 9 vs. New Jersey Devils: Fewer than 2,000 tickets remain. Ottawa hosts the New Jersey Devils in the Senators' final home game of the season. Martin Brodeur's victory over Chicago on March 17 was the 552nd and saw him surpass Patrick Roy for most career victories by a goaltender. The Devils are led by forward Zach Parise, who has already set career highs in most offensive catagories.

The regular season concludes with Fan Appreciation Night. In addition to numerous prize giveaways throughout the evening, all tickets include a $10 concession credit that may be used throughout Scotiabank Place for food and beverage (excluding alcohol) at any Aramark concession or restaurant (excluding Marshy's). Simply present your ticket to a concessions attendant and/or a club-level in-seat hostess for redemption.

Tickets can be purchased by visiting, by phone at 613-599-FANS (3267) or 1-877-788-FANS (3267); in person at The Sens Store at Rideau Centre and Place d'Orléans; at any Ottawa Sports Experts location, the Centrepointe Theatre and at the Scotiabank Place box office.
