Fewer than 300 tickets available for Saturday's game against Toronto

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Feb. 27, 2009) - The Ottawa Senators announced today that fewer than 300 tickets remain for their penultimate home meeting of the season with the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday, Feb. 28, at 7 p.m. The game marks the fourth of six meetings between the clubs, with the Senators looking to even the regular-season series with their provincial rivals at two wins apiece.

On Saturday (and all remaining Saturday home games), fans can enter Scotiabank Place through Gate 1 for the Sens Gameday Experience, presented by Esso, with doors opening at 10 a.m. for the pre-game skate, which starts at 10:30 a.m. Activities will include face painting and tattoos, T-shirt giveaways and a free Senators poster for the first 500 children in attendance. Non-perishable food items will be accepted for the Ottawa Food Bank. Parking and admission is free for the open skates.

Tickets remaining for upcoming games:

Tuesday, March 3 vs. Calgary: Fewer than 1,500 tickets remaining. The Northwest Division-leading Flames face the Senators when Jarome Iginla, Mike Cammalleri and Dion Phaneuf visit Ottawa for the only time this season. Flames coach Mike Keenan recently surpassed Pat Quinn for fourth place on the all-time coaching victories (658) list.

Thursday, March 5 vs. Edmonton: Fewer than 3,000 tickets remaining. Led by a mix of young stars including Ales Hemsky and Tom Gilbert, in addition to a strong veteran presence with the likes of Sheldon Souray and Shawn Horcoff, the Oilers return to Scotiabank Place for the first time in more than two years as they aim to return to the playoffs for the first time since the 2006 Stanley Cup final.

For both games against these Alberta-based opponents, the new Future Fan ticket pak is available for minor hockey players, students and their families. Children's tickets, which include a hotdog and a drink, are available for $20. The same ticket is available to parents for just $29.

Tickets can be purchased by visiting, by phone at 613-599-FANS (3267) or 1-877-788-FANS (3267); in person at The Sens Store at Rideau Centre and Place d'Orleans; at any Ottawa Sports Experts location, the Centrepointe Theatre and at the Scotiabank Place box office.
