Fidelis Security Systems' Extrusion Prevention System® Added to U.S. Army Information Assurance Approved Products List

First Next-Generation Data Leakage Prevention Solution to Be Placed on List

WALTHAM, MA and BETHESDA, MD--(Marketwire - August 18, 2009) - Fidelis Security Systems, the leader in next-generation data leakage prevention (DLP) solutions, today announced that its Fidelis Extrusion Prevention System® -- Fidelis XPS™ -- is the first next-generation DLP solution to be added to the U.S. Army Information Assurance Approved Products List (Army IA-APL), establishing it as an approved technology for use across the U.S. Army. Customers in the Department of Defense, intelligence agencies, civilian agencies, and state/municipal governments currently rely on Fidelis XPS to mitigate the risk of data leakage thereby protecting identity data, classified information and OPSEC sensitive information.

In addition to providing significant insider threat prevention and data exfiltration prevention capabilities, Fidelis XPS also provides the capability to enforce network and security policies around authorized and unauthorized usage. Being the first and only next-generation DLP solution to receive Common Criteria Security Certification, Fidelis XPS also underwent "Red Team" penetration testing by the Sandia National Labs for the Air Force Information Operations Battlelab (AFIOB). This testing was part of the AFIOB's overall evaluation and selection of Fidelis XPS as a project for Operational Security, furthering the external validation of the solution.

"Fidelis is pleased to have once again risen to the challenge of ensuring that our award-winning data leakage prevention solution is meeting the most stringent defense standards," said Peter George, CEO, Fidelis Security Systems. "Fidelis' inclusion on the Army IA-APL -- and as the only data leakage prevention solution on the list -- further demonstrates our commitment to work with our government customers to mitigate the risks associated with the harmful leakage of classified or sensitive information."

Fidelis XPS provides visibility and control for outbound communications across all 65,535 ports on the network. With the robustness of the Fidelis XPS granular policy engine, Department of Defense customers are enabled to accomplish their missions -- from enforcing policy to protecting national security. Fidelis XPS provides powerful controls to ensure the protection of sensitive information, including: personal identity, operational security (OPSEC), and national security information; implement computer network defense; and provide defense-in-depth information assurance capabilities.

Fidelis Security Systems will be exhibiting at the 2009 LandWarNet Conference (Booth # 2106) in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, August 18-20, 2009.
