Field Assessment of Nickel Targets on Diamonds North's Amaruk Property

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Aug. 12, 2011) - Diamonds North Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:DDN) reports that Minerals and Metals Group (MMG) has informed the Company that they have mobilized a field crew to conduct lake-bottom sediment sampling to follow-up on preliminary EM anomalies identified from the survey recently completed on the Amaruk nickel project in Nunavut (see news release July 14, 2010). To view a presentation on the nickel potential at Amaruk visit our website

MMG is project operator and is fully funding the nickel exploration program at Amaruk. Nickel potential of the property is demonstrated by a drill hole that intersected 2.49% nickel over 9 metres within a 35 metre zone assaying 1% nickel (see news release May 22, 2008).

Bruce Kienlen (P.Geol.) and Graham Gill (P.Geo.) will review the base metal data from this project for Diamonds North.
