Fifth Annual Halogen User Conference Shines Light on Customer Successes in Talent Management

Educational Content and Customer Awards Deliver on Halogen's Be Brilliant Promise

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 27, 2010) - Halogen Software's fifth annual user conference, which wrapped up on September 19, was met with resounding success by hundreds of customers, who attended sessions ranging from strategic talent management planning to training on competencies. Customers from five continents joined Halogen in Ottawa for insights into leveraging Halogen solutions to drive high performance for their employees worldwide.

High praise went to presentations led by thought leaders William Rothwell, Libby Sartain, Donna Wright, Steve Roesler and Kris Dunn, as well as nine Halogen customers who shared their success stories and lessons learned with attendees.

Three customers were also recognized with Halogen's Bright Lights Awards for their unique achievements during a special ceremony. Halogen customers CarVal Investors, Douglas County School District and Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation were honored at the customer appreciation reception.

The Bright Lights Awards recognize Halogen customers for achievement in three areas: measuring return on investment, outstanding implementation, and corporate culture.

  • Douglas County School District was the recipient of the Bright Bottom Line award for saving the district and its taxpayers $10,000 per appraisal cycle, and leveraging the flexibility of their Halogen solution to create a payroll audit system.
  • Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation received the Dazzling Implementation award in recognition of the organization's global deployment: from headquarters in Washington, DC across Africa, which unified many remote field offices, and is driving performance management consistency
  • CarVal Investors received the 2010 award for Brilliant Corporate Culture for its success with aligning individual and departmental goals with corporate goals, an effort that has unified their employees, managers and executives across the globe.

"We left the conference feeling enlightened about Halogen as an organization and highly motivated to take our talent management strategy to the next level," said Paul Holstead, HR Regional Manager, CarVal Investors LLC. "From the pre-conference workshop to the closing address, we learned valuable lessons from inspiring individuals and fellow HR professionals. We were very honored to receive a Bright Lights award, and thrilled to have our focus on goal alignment and our culture recognized."
