Fifty Lessons Provides Video Content to Supplement Cengage Learning Higher Education Materials

STAMFORD, CT and LEXINGTON, MA--(Marketwire - October 14, 2008) - Fifty Lessons is pleased to announce a new partnership with Cengage Learning to provide video as supplementary material for academic textbooks in the North American higher education market.

Thirteen selections from the Fifty Lessons business video library (www.fiftylessons.com) were selected to match chapter content for the new edition of Cengage Learning's Strategic Management textbook, "Strategic Management: Competitiveness and Globalization" by Michael Hitt, Duane Ireland, and Robert Hoskisson. Editor-in-Chief, Melissa Acuna, stated, "The content Fifty Lessons provided allows us to bring the experiences of senior- level managers into hundreds of classrooms. Students are able to learn from highly successful business leaders about the challenges they've faced, the decisions that they've made and how these strategic decisions affect their firms."

Cengage Learning also worked with Fifty Lessons to select video content for the new first edition of "International Business Course, Global Business" by Mike W. Peng. "We again turned to Fifty Lessons for the unique perspective their content brought to the classroom." Acuna elaborated on this unique perspective saying, "Students hear first-hand from leaders of U.S.-based companies, as well from leaders from internationally based companies. The point of view of Fifty Lessons aligned perfectly with Peng's approach to not only focus on U.S. firms doing business globally but also to allow students to understand business in the global economy."

Bryan Hill, Vice President of Business Development at Fifty Lessons, stated, "We are very happy to partner with Cengage Learning, one of the world's leading academic publishers, on this initiative to bring our business video to students in North America. We find that students today expect and want a richer media learning experience and a balance of experiential and theoretical learning. By bringing the knowledge and experience of world-class business leaders (such as the Chairman/CEO of Marriott Inc and ex COO Microsoft Corporation) direct to the students, we hope to enhance the learning experience and better inform the business leaders of the future."
