FiftyOne Partners With DHL to Deliver Superior Global Consumer Experience

Partnership Enables Company to Dramatically Improve Global Delivery Times and Reduce International Shipping Costs

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - May 2, 2011) - FiftyOne, the market leader in global ecommerce, today announced that it has completed integration of DHL as a global logistics partner, and that more than half of its merchant partners, including Sears, Crate and Barrel, Tilly's, PacSun,, and are now launched globally on the DHL platform.

The partnership with DHL represents an important strategic milestone for FiftyOne, as the company continues to expand the functionalities of its global ecommerce platform. With DHL fully integrated into FiftyOne, the company is able to deliver significant additional value to its merchant community, including lower shipping costs, faster delivery times, greater transparency into the status and location of orders, and the ability to sell to more than 220 countries worldwide.

"For FiftyOne, DHL represents a major step in our plan to make logistics a competitive advantage," stated Michael DeSimone, FiftyOne's Chief Executive Officer. "We're all about flattening the barriers to cross-border ecommerce, whether they are cost-related, service-related, or even just distance-related. Many of our merchants have already launched and are seeing significant improvements in their international sales. A consumer in Australia, for example, can now order from their favorite U.S. retailer and receive their merchandise in one to three business days -- often at lower rates than other providers. That's the kind of service that will drive global business for our merchants. All of this ties into FiftyOne's mission to break down the barriers to global ecommerce while giving international consumers a first-class brand and delivery experience that mirrors those of their U.S. counterparts," he concluded.

"We've been working with FiftyOne for more than two years now and have been really pleased with the service," said Brad Adams, SVP-Direct to Consumer of Brown Shoe Company, the parent company of "The transition to DHL has been tremendous, enabling us to get shoes to consumers faster, and creating cost savings, which we pass along to our customers. Our sales are up significantly since launch."

FiftyOne began working with DHL in June 2010 and spent the second half of 2010 integrating DHL's logistics technology into the FiftyOne platform. The integration is completely seamless: from the moment a parcel is recorded in the system, a merchant has full visibility into where that package is at all times, including when it leaves the hub, goes through customs, and is received by the international customer. Customers also have access to an online tracking system.
