The Fight Ain't Over, so the Party Don't Stop! Zumba Partners With Susan G. Komen for Annual Party in Pink™ Campaign

Aims to Raise $3 Million for Leading-Edge Research in Breast Cancer Prevention

MIAMI, FL--(Marketwired - October 01, 2015) - International fitness leader Zumba is inviting its network of fans and instructors from around the world to dance and bring awareness to breast cancer prevention with the return of the Party in Pink campaign. Under the Zumba Moves charity platform, the brand dedicates raised funds annually for the Zumba® Global Research Grant for Breast Cancer Prevention in partnership with Susan G. Komen. Through thousands of Zumbathon® charity events hosted by licensed instructors worldwide, participants will help take breast cancer prevention research to the next level by giving to this incredible cause and honoring those affected by breast cancer.

The fight against breast cancer isn't a one-person journey. It's a family, a community and a global fight. Zumba instructors and breast cancer warriors, Paula, Jocelyn, Carla and Helen, featured in the Zumba Party In Pink choreography video, are proof that using the power of dance to "get up offa that thing" and to come together can and will kick cancer's butt!

Furthermore, Zumba Stories, a digital platform that uses video, imagery and editorial to share inspirational anecdotes from the Zumba community, features a deeper look into the lives and stories of breast cancer survivors Paula and Jocelyn.

Zumba is committed to raising $3 million to help fund preventative breast cancer research and studies. Spearheaded by a team of renowned scientists at leading research institutions and fueled by the Zumba® community's continued support, researchers have made strides in finding some answers to one of the most promising ends to breast cancer prevention. The grant researches and studies the effects of flaxseed consumption on pre-menopausal women through studies and extensive clinical trials. This is exceptionally promising as flaxseed could be an affordable, highly accessible solution to preventing breast cancer and saving lives worldwide.

Zumba will donate 75 percent of ticket sales from Party in Pink Zumbathon® charity events and 30 percent of the sales of Party in Pink Zumba® wear. All funds collected through the charity campaign will be donated directly to Komen to support the Zumba® Global Research Grant for Breast Cancer Prevention, with absolutely no administration fees from Komen or Zumba.
