Figliulo&Partners Named One of the 50 Best Places to Work in Advertising & Media by Advertising Age

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - November 16, 2015) - Figliulo&Partners, the brand agency for the information age, today was ranked number four on the 50 Best Places to Work in Advertising & Media list by Advertising Age. F&P was selected based on criteria such as workplace environment and design, diversity and work-life balance, career development, salaries and benefits and office culture. Nearly 20,000 people were surveyed as part of the selection process.

"We're an independent shop made up of independent thinkers," said Mark Figliulo, founder and CEO. "My partners and I believe that happy people tend to achieve more, so happiness is part of our business plan."

Gourmet snacks, liberal pet policy, screen printing workshops, investment in employee education, generous vacation allotment, employee art installations, "Fitcoin" flexible wellness allowance, a new product lab in which all contribute and, of course, a generously stocked beer fridge all contribute to F&P's unique vibe.

When polled earlier in the year, the number one answer people gave for the best thing about F&P is its people. The agency also boasts one of the most stable teams of any agency in business today, as well as one of the most diverse. More than half of the staff and 40% of senior management are women, and 43% of employees are people of color.

"Our agency team is composed of people from diverse and interesting backgrounds. This is something we are really proud of and it feeds a culture of healthy debate and the positive collision of ideas," added Figliulo.

Best Places to Work in Advertising & Media submissions were evaluated by Advertising Age research partner Buck Consultants LLC. With nearly a century of experience in employee and human resource consulting, Buck crafted two surveys to help Advertising Age find the companies with the best benefits and most-engaged employees. The employer survey contained about 100 questions, including questions about pay, promotions, health care and other benefits and hiring practices.

The employee survey contained about 50 questions. It measured aspects of the workplace environment that contribute to an engaged staff, including matters such as fairness of pay, vacation time, relationships with management and co-workers, career development and other workplace issues. Any agency, ad tech or media company with more than 40 full-time employees in the U.S. was eligible.

"As always, the competition was tough. Out of the hundreds of companies who applied, we're calling out more honorees than ever before. Fifty big shops, independents, agencies, ad tech, and media companies earned recognition for being leaders in recruiting, retaining, and cultivating talent," said Ken Wheaton, editor of Advertising Age. "At the end of the day all these organizations are in the talent business and they're doing it right. They're finding interesting, relevant, and often unexpected ways to create cultures and work environments that keep employees engaged."
