Filmmakers: Make Your Final Cuts; New Belgium's Clips of Faith Deadline Is May 1

Submissions Window Is Closing Soon for the 18-City Beer and Film Tour

FORT COLLINS, CO--(Marketwire - Apr 20, 2011) - New Belgium Brewing, maker of Fat Tire Amber Ale, is encouraging all amateur filmmakers to put the finishing touches on their favorite films for the second annual Clips of Faith Beer and Film Tour. The tour will travel to 18 cities this year, showcasing select independent films while pouring beer from the hard-to-find Lips of Faith series (and a few popular classics). Clips of Faith raises money for local non-profits and generated more than $31,000 last year, which included many groups that support bicycling -- a New Belgium passion.

"This is our second run at Clips of Faith and we can't wait to once again celebrate the arts of beer and film in cities across the country," said Christie Catania, Clips of Faith Manager-at-Large. "It's a quintessential summer evening: lounging outside, watching movies under the stars, drinking beer with friends."

New Belgium is accepting film submissions through May 1. To read the guidelines and submit a film, visit www.clipsoffaith.com. The creative team at New Belgium Brewing will review and select the winning films. The top three filmmakers will receive a trip to New Belgium to screen their films as well as a contour HD helmet camera. Three runners-up will receive a Flip HD camera. All selected films will tour the country throughout the summer.

Each stop along the tour will feature an outdoor screening of the collected films, a tasting of New Belgium's Lips of Faith beers (http://www.newbelgium.com/beer) and food from local vendors.

The 2011 tour kicks off in St. Louis, MO on May 19 and wraps up in Knoxville, TN on October 14. New Belgium has added nine cities to the Clips of Faith tour this year: Bloomington, IN; Des Moines, IA; Boulder, CO; Santa Cruz, CA; Seattle, WA; Portland, OR; Charlotte, NC; Atlanta, GA and Knoxville, TN (full schedule below).
