On December 7th you are invited to make Lemonade

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 24, 2009Films That Move is a free social change film series that helps people connect and collaborate in their communities. The first film in the series is called Lemonade, a documentary about advertising professionals who lost their jobs in the Great Recession. It shows what happens when people who were once paid to be creative in advertising are forced to be creative with their own lives. The film is being screened from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m., December 7th at George Brown Faculty of Business and Creative Services, 290 Adelaide St. East, Fourth Floor, Room 406. Tickets are available at

"Films That Move helps create a friendly space to bring people together and share ways to make our communities better," says Celina Agaton, founder. "Each social change film screening will feature a community focus and provide opportunities to participate in sustainable partnerships. This screening focuses on non-profits and communications and web professionals looking to partner on meaningful projects."

The launch screening features a lemonade stand for charity, a design challenge and opportunities for cross-sector community partnerships. Communications and web professionals will be asked to partner on paid and pro bono projects identified by not-for-profits. The partnership selection, project development process and final projects will be shared in a project showcase in April of 2010 to help develop sustainable community partnerships and to help celebrate National Volunteer Week.

The screenings are free with a 'pay if you can' option. The money raised at the screening will go to a charity voted on by the audience. Attendees can donate old cell phones to Hope Phones, to support mobile healthcare programs in developing countries. Food bank donations will also be accepted.
