Financial Executives International Names Tallwave Doug Noblitt as Finalist in CFO of the Year Awards

SCOTTSDALE, AZ--(Marketwired - Nov 7, 2013) - In a celebration highlighting the important roles that financial executives play within the region, the Arizona Chapter of Financial Executives International (FEI) named Doug Noblitt, the executive vice president of Finance and Accounting at Tallwave, as a finalist in the "CFO of the Year Awards" in the private company category on November 6 at the Arizona Biltmore. FEI is recognized globally as the leading organization for senior-level financial executives.

A venture development firm and self-described "commercializor," Tallwave is disrupting the traditional incubator / accelerator model with a proprietary and unique approach to the commercialization of startups and early-stage ventures. Doug is not only the CFO for Tallwave, but also the CFO for four of Tallwave's portfolio companies and is responsible for most model and budget development for Tallwave's High Tide start-up competition finalist companies.

"This past year has been a momentous one for Tallwave, and Doug has played a pivotal role in our success," said Jeffrey Pruitt, partner and CEO of Tallwave. "Thanks in no small part to Doug's efforts; Tallwave has achieved average annual revenue growth of over 65 percent. Doug's background and financial acumen also allows Tallwave to organize capital structures and maximize our return on investment."

The nominations and awards recognize exemplary financial management in all types of businesses: public, private and nonprofit. An impressive set of independent judges from local business and academia selected the winners based on their contributions to their respective organizations and their involvement in the community

Doug has over 18 years of experience in turnaround management, consulting, and financial and operational management in national and international companies in diverse businesses including manufacturing, distribution, retail, telecommunications, hospitality, and many others. He has maximized stakeholder value through corporate restructurings by identifying and executing opportunities for profitability improvement, developing business plans and valuations, leading corporate finance teams, and raising and renegotiating debt and equity funding.

Doug is a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA), holds a bachelor's degree in Spanish and a master's degree in international business studies.

"CFO's play a key role in carrying out an organization's broader goals and Doug has certainly demonstrated that capability within Tallwave," said Bret Lawson, president, FEI Arizona and CFO, Unique Home Design Inc. "We're proud to recognize Doug with our annual CFO of the Year Awards."
