BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - June 12, 2008) - Fundamentals of Insurance Planning will cover basic concepts in risk management and insurance, industry operations and regulations, and legal principles. Offered by The American College, it will be taught by Patrick Haraden CLU®, ChFC®, RHU®, REBC®, CEBS, senior vice president of Longfellow Benefits.

The course will cover key insurance products, including life, medical, disability, long-term care and annuities, and conclude with an overview of commercial property and liability insurance.

Designed for people studying for their CLU®, ChFC®, or CFP® Certification, it will be held Monday evenings, August 4 through October 13, at the Bank of America, downtown Boston.

Haraden has served in a senior capacity at every level of his financial services career as a director, strategic planner, and analyst. His experience includes leadership roles in new-business development, retention, partnership and relationship management, employee development, recruitment, and client management.
