Finning Announces C$75 Million Equipment and Product Support Contract With Suncor

Equipment sales to oil sands expected to reach C$280 million in 2007

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Dec. 11, 2006) - Finning International Inc. ("Finning") (TSX:FTT) and its Canadian division, Finning (Canada) announced that Suncor Energy has exercised its option to purchase six additional Caterpillar 797B haul trucks and an associated 10-year product support services agreement. The option had been granted under a contract agreed to in June 2005. In addition, Suncor has purchased 14 pieces of new mining support equipment in 2006. The total value of these transactions amounts to approximately C$75 million.

Of the six 797B trucks, one has already been delivered. The remaining five will be delivered by June 2007. Delivery of the mining support equipment including dozers, motor graders and wheel loaders, representing additional new fleet capacity for Suncor, will be completed by the end of 2006.

In June 2005, Finning announced a C$115 million product support contract that included the sale to Suncor of nine 797B-series trucks and the option to purchase an additional six. The nine trucks were delivered between April and July 2006 and are the first B-series trucks added to Suncor's fleet.
