Finning Awarded Mining Equipment Supplier Contract by Thompson Creek


VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - March 31, 2011) - Finning International Inc. (TSX:FTT) announced today that its Canadian division has been selected as the mining equipment supplier by Thompson Creek Metals Company Inc. for their Mt. Milligan project. As part of this agreement, Finning will supply mining trucks, support equipment, parts and specialized maintenance labour to the Mt. Milligan mine located northwest of Prince George, British Columbia.

The 42 machines include Caterpillar 793F mining trucks and support equipment, which will be delivered to Thompson Creek's Mt. Milligan copper-gold mine throughout 2012.

Currently under construction, Mt. Milligan is a conventional truck and shovel open pit mine. Production is scheduled to commence in 2013 with average annual metal production of 81 million pounds of copper and 194,000 ounces of gold over a projected 22-year mine life.
