FINR Emerges From Chapter Eleven

Leader in Brain Injury Rehabilitation Facilitates Strong Recovery; Looks Ahead to Expand Services

WAUCHULA, FL--(Marketwired - Sep 5, 2013) - The Florida Institute for Neurologic Rehabilitation, Inc. (FINR) today announced that they have successfully emerged from Chapter 11 Reorganization proceedings.

FINR entered into Chapter 11 early this year under jurisdiction of esteemed Judge Catherine Peek McEwen of the Middle District of Florida. On August 29, Judge McEwen confirmed FINR's Plan of Reorganization under the strict dictates of Title 11 of the United States Code. FINR improved its cash flow during the Chapter 11 proceedings while maintaining a high standard of care throughout their brain injury continuum under the watchful eye of the Court and pursuant to favorable reports from a court appointed ombudsman.

Assisting FINR through the complex path of reorganization was their legal counsel Craig I. Kelley, Esquire of West Palm Beach, Florida, as well their accountant Don Dorra, CPA, with special assistance from Edward Peterson, Esquire of Tampa.

"Our successful emergence is the result of continuous team work and dedication to patients served, their family members, and the brain injury community at large," said Joseph Brennick, CEO of FINR. "We have many people to thank for their unwavering support throughout this difficult period. I would like to specifically recognize the entire treatment team for their medical and clinical leadership, and their dedication to client care."

FINR is a national leader in the evaluation and rehabilitative treatment of survivors of traumatic and non-traumatic brain injuries. FINR's employees are recognized experts in the treatment of the most difficult traumatic brain injury cases.

FINR wishes to thank all parties involved in this successful reorganization process, which helped to preserve FINR, one of the few facilities dedicated to brain injury rehabilitation, and allowed FINR the ability to maintain hundreds of jobs within the small community of Wauchula, Florida. FINR expects to expand their patient services and hire additional employees over the coming year.
