FireEye Appoints Board Chairman David DeWalt as Chief Executive Officer

Founder and Current CEO Ashar Aziz to Serve as Vice Chairman, Chief Technology Officer, and Chief Strategy Officer

MILPITAS, CA--(Marketwire - Nov 28, 2012) - FireEye®, Inc., the leader in stopping advanced cyber attacks, announced today that David DeWalt, chairman of the board of directors, has been appointed chief executive officer (CEO). DeWalt has served as the company's board chairman since June 2012. Ashar Aziz, FireEye founder and CEO, will become the company's new vice chairman and chief strategy officer as well as continue to serve as the company's CTO.

"FireEye addresses a very critical security gap plaguing businesses today -- the lack of sufficient protection against this next generation of cyber attacks. As more and more companies fall prey to cybercriminals targeting their corporate data and proprietary IP, it becomes glaringly apparent that the current approach to security is fundamentally broken. FireEye has emerged as the clear leader in combatting these advanced cyber attacks with its unique technology and platform," said DeWalt. "The company has demonstrated tremendous growth and I'm excited to work side by side with Ashar, one of the world's foremost technologists and security thought leaders, and the entire executive team to further innovate and expand FireEye's reach."

DeWalt has over 25 years of experience leading innovative technology companies and is a well-known authority on cyber security. He is the former president, CEO, and director of McAfee, Inc. In addition to his extensive executive resume, DeWalt is a frequent speaker at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland and was appointed by President Obama to serve on the National Security Technology Advisory Council.

"Dave has an incredible track record of leading and growing successful technology companies, and his guidance on our board of directors has been invaluable," said Aziz. "The combination of his leadership, operational experience, and industry expertise will without a doubt help usher FireEye into the next stage of its growth and expansion on a global scale. We welcome him to the leadership team."

FireEye has seen significant expansion in the past year, experiencing explosive revenue growth and adding hundreds of new customers. In addition:
