WESTPORT, CT--(Marketwired - Aug 11, 2015) - Two leading HR Cloud systems integration experts tell Firing Line with Bill Kutik®, the new web video series for the HR community, that optimizing Cloud system implementations requires new ways of thinking and methods of choosing consulting help.
The two appear on the seventh edition of the video series beginning on YouTube today.
Jarret Pazahanick, Managing Partner of EIC Experts, and Luke Marson, Chief Cloud HCM Architect at Hula Partners, tell Firing Line Host and Managing Editor Bill Kutik that many customers need to adopt new practices, different from their on-premise experiences, when they move to the Cloud.
To make the best choices, says Marson, customers need to do extensive due diligence both on the applications and technology they will be implementing, and also on the systems integrators they are considering. "Customers are still approaching Cloud implementations like on-premise applications, even though they have a different makeup," Marson says.
Without this kind of careful consideration, the two systems integrators say, potential costly mistakes can occur. "Some software integrators are still overpromising. They're overestimating their expertise and experience to win new project work," Pazahanick tells Kutik. "And ultimately when that happens, the customer's implementation can turn out to be the training grounds for a team of junior consultants, which is never a good thing."
Pazahanick gives an example of one of his clients using 21 consultants on-site for an on-premise HR installation 17 years ago but only five people -- many of them working off-site -- for an equally full-blown HR Cloud system today.
To date, the monthly "Firing Line" series, which began last March, has received more than 11,000 views on YouTube.
