'Firing Line With Bill Kutik' Premieres as New HR Video Interview Program

WESTPORT, CT--(Marketwired - Feb 26, 2015) - Bill Kutik, father of the famous HR Technology® Conference and host of The Bill Kutik Radio Show®, has started a new video interview series called "Firing Line with Bill Kutik™."

The new monthly web program features short, HD broadcast-quality video interviews with thought-leaders from the HR technology community including: practitioners, vendor executives, analysts and consultants. Various vendors are sponsoring groups of shows.

"Just like my sponsored seven-year-old Radio Show," Kutik says, "Firing Line will be old-fashioned journalism: fair, objective and with no marketing slant. Guests will talk about what they're thinking and doing, not what they're selling or which software they use."

Leading off this new program is Mike Ettling, president, HR Line of Business at SuccessFactors, an SAP company (NYSE: SAP). Ettling has responsibility globally for the company's 4,200 cloud customers, as well as its 14,000 HCM on-premise customers.

In his five-minute sit down with Kutik, Ettling tells a compelling story about how growing up in South Africa under apartheid, and then the Rainbow Nation under Nelson Mandela, shaped his perspective about connecting with people and his leadership style.

Ettling also shares his thoughts on how Cloud vendors, much like HR outsourcers, need to nurture multi-year relationships with service every day, where some previous on-premise sales models nearly ended the day-to-day relationship with the delivery of the software CDs.

Ettling's career has seen him with progressive responsibilities at EDS and Unisys, then as CEO of NorthgateArinso prior to joining SAP.

Kutik has also been technology columnist for "Human Resource Executive®" for 25 years.

The first interview with Ettling is available now at http://bit.ly/KutikFiringLine. Kutik can be reached at Bill@Kutik.com.
