First Escrow Closing in San Jose Heralds Success of TRI Pointe Homes' Expansion Into Bay Area

IRVINE, CA--(Marketwire - Nov 1, 2012) - Just six months ago, Irvine-based TRI Pointe Homes made its initial entry into the Northern California real estate market with the introduction of Chantrea at Silver Creek in San Jose. Now, TRI Pointe Homes has achieved a significant milestone with the closing of the first escrow at Chantrea.

"The response to Chantrea has been tremendous," stated Carrie Newbery, TRI Pointe Home's vice president of sales and marketing for Northern California. "Our first closing at Chantrea is one of many more to come, and it's the beginning of our future success throughout Northern California."

Chantrea is already selling its third phase, which is currently offering a limited number of homes that are available for pre-holiday move-ins. And for those who would like to start the new year with a prestigious Chantrea address, the community's fourth phase goes on sale in a couple of weeks.

Since its debut, Chantrea has captured the imaginations of home buyers who recognize the value of a luxurious new home that makes a Silicon Valley-close address attainable with prices starting in the $1 millions.

That value is heightened by impressive dimensions spanning approximately 3,390 to 4,250 square feet, including up to five bedrooms and up to four and one-half baths as well as numerous special features. Varying plans are highlighted with first- and second-floor master suites, and the appeal of the homes is enhanced by comfortably livable family spaces and a variety of sought-after room options, such as gourmet preparation kitchens, multipurpose dens and covered outdoor rooms designed for al fresco entertaining.

Chantrea is only the beginning for TRI Pointe Homes in Northern California. The company has recently introduced Ironhorse in Morgan Hill, which offers exceptional value in a prime location just 15 minutes south of San Jose. Also in the Bay Area, Amelia at Bay Meadows in San Mateo is currently forming an interest list and is planned for a 2013 opening.

Those communities follow a long list of TRI Pointe Homes successes in Southern California, where currently available communities include Los Arboles in Simi Valley, Tamarind Lane at Rosedale in Azusa, Sagebluff and Topazridge at Riverwalk Vista in Riverside and Candera in San Marcos. In addition, TRI Pointe has recently established a Colorado division with the goal of building on its California achievements by becoming a major force in the Rocky Mountain state.

Founded on over a century of combined real estate industry experience, TRI Pointe Homes is guided by an unwavering commitment to think, renew and inspire. Insightful thinking -- anticipating and encompassing all the events and needs of the individuals and families who will live in a TRI Pointe Home -- is demanded. A passionate desire to renew a sense of belonging by creating spaces that invite both energized interaction and peaceful solitude is critical. And an ability to inspire the hundreds of experts who are involved in building our communities to take pride and care in their craftsmanship is essential to satisfying every homeowner's highest expectations.
