First-Ever Amateur Chef Participates in Amstel Light Burger Bash at Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival

Lori Welander Struts Her 'Burger Brawn' Among 'Foodies' and Elite Chefs

WHITE PLAINS, NY--(Marketwire - February 26, 2010) - Lori Welander from Richmond, VA was selected to make her favorite burger recipe among the most notable chefs in the country at the Food Network South Beach Wine and Food Festival's annual Amstel Light Burger Bash on Thursday, February 25, 2010. This exciting event, now in its fourth year, brought together renowned chefs from restaurants nationwide to infuse their take on the classic hamburger in the ultimate burger showdown.

Between January 13 and February 8, 2010 Ms. Welander participated in a national Amstel Light Burger Recipe Contest online at by submitting her unique burger recipe. She used Amstel Light as a key ingredient to add delicious flavor to her burger without weighing it down.
