First-Ever Consumer Electronics Expo Expected to Attract 30,000 Attendees, Hundreds of Exhibitors, Latest Products

Electronic Living Exposition to Debut in Boston February 15, Showcasing Innovations in Gaming, Home Entertainment, Personal Computing and Wireless; Verizon Communications Signs on as Premier Sponsor

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - June 11, 2007) - More than 30,000 consumers are expected to attend next year's Electronic Living Expo (ELX) in Boston, a first-ever exposition that addresses the growing interest and rapid pace of technology innovations in consumer electronics. Debuting Feb. 15-17, 2008, ELX is the first learning and entertainment experience dedicated to helping consumers integrate and enjoy the latest electronic innovations in their everyday lives.

Produced by Living Expositions Inc., the event will showcase and demonstrate cutting-edge products and technologies in home entertainment, gaming, personal computing, mobile communications and more offered by leading manufacturers, retailers and services. Attendees will also have access to product introductions and demonstrations, interactive activities, live and online entertainment, how-to workshops and expert presentations. The Boston event -- being held at the Bayside Expo Center -- is the first in a series of expositions around the country. Additional events for 2008 - 2009 are being planned in Seattle, Chicago, Miami and San Jose.

ELX will be the first chance consumers get to look at new products and interact with the electronics that represent the next generation of technology. The event will take place just weeks after the nation's largest consumer electronics trade show, CES, an event exclusively for manufacturers and retailers to scout the latest products.

Verizon has signed on as the premier sponsor for ELX Boston and is planning to power the event with its fiber optic network and FiOS voice and data services -- which would give ELX the distinction of being the first consumer electronics expo running solely on fiber optic technology. FiOS plans to deliver exhibitors high-speed power for interactive displays and demonstrations. Living Expositions will introduce additional sponsors and exhibitors in subsequent announcements.

ELX will be the first event of its kind to be driven and designed by consumer input through social media networking. Consumers will be invited to contribute to the design and programs of ELX through shared dialogue on social networks, blogs and other interactive opportunities. Consumers also will be able to participate in a range of online and interactive programs, including gaming, promotions and contests.

ELX provides exhibitors and sponsors a unique direct to consumer marketing platform to help strengthen brand awareness, promote new products and technologies, drive market share (and visits to retail and online sites) and increase consumer demand for future products. ELX Boston is supported through a regional marketing campaign that will include print, broadcast, outdoor, Web and direct mail.

ELX: An Experiential Event for Consumers

"Consumers' adoption of electronics is occurring at an unprecedented rate, and products and technologies are converging and evolving faster than ever before," said Dave Garvin, co-founder and president of Living Expositions, Inc. "ELX is the first consumer electronics show for consumers that provides a full, interactive experience, allowing consumers to see, evaluate and better understand how to integrate products and services into their daily lives."

At ELX, attendees will have the freedom to play with the latest technologies in home theatre, personal and home audio systems, the newest advances in video displays, content delivery, personal and home computing, home networking, wireless technologies, mobile entertainment, digital creation, digital asset sharing and archiving, gaming and navigation.

With a 260,000-square-foot show floor that is organized by "lifestyle category," consumers will be able to test, audition and compare offerings as well as interact with leading manufacturers to exchange ideas and information. Described as "part exposition, part showcase and entertainment event," the show will highlight manufacturing and retail exhibitors from the consumer electronics industry as well as entertainment segments featuring some of today's hottest artists.

"ELX taps into today's extraordinary consumer electronics phenomenon. Never before have we seen so much interest in these products, or so rapid a pace of product and technology innovation. Our events provide a much-needed public showcase of the consumer electronics industry," said Garvin. "More than an exposition, more than a traditional event, ELX will be an 'experience' -- a true 'living extension' of today's connected consumer electronics consumer community."
