First Ever CREW Utah Scholarship - Made Possible by Generous Gift From Benefactor, Kip Paul

SALT LAKE CITY, UT--(Marketwired - Jul 13, 2015) - Kip Paul of Cushman & Wakefield | Commerce exceeded his original commitment to match all funds raised at CREW Utah's 3rd Annual Gala by generously committing $25,000 to CREW Utah's first ever scholarship program. Mr. Paul will donate of $5,000 per year for five years to provide local scholarships to women considering a career in the commercial real estate industry.

"Kip's generous donation at the CREW Utah Gala creates new opportunity for CREW Utah," said Ronda Landa, President of CREW Utah. "The Gala is Utah's signature event to mingle with, and celebrate Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW). The addition of this local scholarship makes the event even more important and encouraging to our members, by displaying the local impact they are making through their membership and donations."

When asked why he supports CREW Utah, Paul replied, "Women in our local commercial real estate market are underrepresented. As a father of two daughters, it is my pleasure to jump start the scholarship and mentorship program. Our industry will benefit by having more women take a seat at the table and contribute their thoughts and skills."

CREW Utah is an enthusiastic partner to the CREW Network Foundation (CNF), which is the philanthropic arm of CREW Network, and the only North American foundation dedicated to creating opportunity for women and girls in commercial real estate. As part of the ongoing partnership, CREW Utah and CNF offer college scholarships to young women across North America, and connects scholarship graduates with CREW Network's research partner, CBRE, for internships and jobs after they graduate. CNF is the authority on research related to women in commercial real estate, and will publish its 2015 Benchmark Report later this year.

Members and donors of CREW Utah have long supported, and will continue supporting CNF's efforts to advance the industry on a national level. What excites CREW Utah about Kip Paul's generous donation to jump start its own scholarship program, is the chapter's new found ability to perform meaningful work locally as well.

Applications for the CREW Utah Scholarship will open soon, and will apply toward the Spring 2016 academic calendar. Watch for it, and apply online at www.crewutah.org.
