New York Pop-Up Store Allows Consumers to Trade in Old iPhone for Money on the Spot


BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - Sep 10, 2012) - Gazelle, the nation's leading high-end consumer electronics trade-in site, today announced the First in Line contest in New York City. To celebrate the expected availability of the new iPhone, widely rumored to be September 21, 2012, Gazelle will give the first five people in line outside the Apple store on Fifth Avenue a new iPhone.

The five winners will also be sponsored by Gazelle as they wait in line. The company will provide them with branded gear -- including t-shirts, sweatshirts and hats, and a personal runner to get them snacks and charge their phones (September 19-20) and deliver a pizza dinner the night before the new iPhone hits store shelves.

With the new iPhone in hand, consumers can head over to Gazelle's pop-up store at Vanderbilt Hall in Grand Central Station, where they can trade-in their used devices for cash from Thursday, September 20 through Friday, September 21. Consumers can also enter Gazelle's "Money Booth" to win one of many prizes, ranging from a t-shirt to a Macbook to $5,000 cash.
