Tantalum results that exceeded the maximum analysis limit and results for the other zones sampled are still pending.

A map of sections posted on First Gold's website at www.firstgoldexploration.com (under Pivert/Rose Lithium in the Projects section) shows the zones mineralized from surface to a depth of 75 metres, as well as widths and lengths.

At this stage, everything points to an open pit project on the Lac Pivert/Rose property, given the mineralized zones on surface.

The Company has now received $1,230,355 from the exercise of warrants and options in recent months, and is in an excellent financial position to meet its commitments for 2010.

The Lac Pivert/Rose samples were sent for analysis in sealed containers to the Chemex laboratory in Val-d'Or by employees of the Company. Chemex is the laboratory used for analysis of all samples from programs on the Lac Pivert/Rose property. The samples are weighed and identified prior to sample preparation. The samples are crushed to 70% minus 2 mm, then separated and pulverized to 85% passing 75 micronsm. All samples are analyzed using ICP-MS, with full analysis for 47 elements.

The Company is also reporting that its drilling program on its Matchi-Manitou base metals property has been completed. Some drill samples have been sent for analysis. This program was aimed at testing a large geophysical anomaly. First Gold is in the process of acquiring up to 72% of this property by spending $300,000 on exploration.

The Company is also pleased to announce that it has approved and signed the option agreement with Cansim Minas, owner of the San Francisco Javier property in the state of Guerrero, Mexico (see press release dated November 9, 2009). An exploration crew is already on the property to prepare a drilling program. The Company is proud to announce that Richard Simpson, formerly the field geologist for Normabec Mining Resources and the person in charge of the Real De Cartoce property (sold to First Majestic FR-TSX-V), has been hired to develop the silver property.

First Gold Exploration is also issuing a reminder that it will hold its annual meeting at the Saint-James Club at 1145, rue Union, Montreal, Quebec, on Wednesday, February 10 at 2 p.m.
