First Look Studios Announces the DVD Release of "THE ISLAND ON BIRD STREET"

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - February 29, 2008) - First Look Studios (PINKSHEETS: FRST) announces the DVD release of "THE ISLAND ON BIRD STREET," in stores April 1, 2008. The film was produced by April Productions and directed by Soren Kragh-Jacobsen.

"THE ISLAND ON BIRD STREET" is based on a true story and a book of the same name and written by Uri Orlev -- Winner of the Hans Christian Andersen Award for Writing. The story follows Alex, an 11-year-old Jewish boy living in a World War II Polish Ghetto with his father Stephan (Patrick Bergin) and his Great Uncle Boruch (two-time academy award nominee Jack Warden). Alex becomes separated from his father after the Nazi invasion into the Jewish Ghettos. Finding refuge in an abandoned building on Bird Street, Alex seeks companionship from his pet mouse "Snow" and hopes to be reunited with his father. Alex's struggle for survival is a testament to the life lessons bestowed upon him by his family, and is an inspiration to viewers of all ages.
