First Metals Announces Production Start-Up at Fabie Bay, Quebec

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 20, 2007) - First Metals Inc. (TSX:FMA) is very pleased to report to shareholders that material from the Fabie Bay Deposit near Rouyn-Noranda is now being crushed for processing at the Horne mill.

The start-up of the mill marks the culmination of a 6 month refurbishment program at the Horne Mill. The Horne Mill, owned and operated by Xstrata Copper Canada, has the capacity to process up to 1,700 tonnes of ore per day. It is anticipated that a daily average of 1,500 tonnes of material will be trucked the 30 miles from Fabie Bay to the mill.

With his principal mandate of bringing Fabie Bay into production having now been completed, Mr. Brian Ferguson has resigned as Company President, but continues as a director and a member of the Mine Committee.

First Metals is bringing into production the Fabie Bay and Magusi River Copper, Zinc, Gold and Silver Projects, near Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec, Canada acquired from Globex Mining Enterprises, Inc. last year. First Metals has approximately 36 million shares issued and outstanding.
