First Narrows Intersects High Grade Gold at Middle River Property, Bathurst, New Brunswick

Assays Confirm Parallel SIP Structure Is New Gold Zone With Gold Values Increasing at Depth

VANCOUVER, BC -- (MARKET WIRE) -- September 27, 2005 -- First Narrows Resources Corp. (TSX-V: UNO) ("First Narrows" or the "Company") is pleased to report assays from three of eight drill holes recently completed on the MRG and SIP gold zones, Middle River property, Bathurst, New Brunswick. Hole MR-05-006 intersected 6.5 meters (21.3 feet) averaging 7.44 gpt gold (0.22 opt gold), including 1.65 meters (5.4 feet) averaging 17.29 gpt (0.50 opt). In addition, the newly discovered SIP structure is confirmed as gold bearing, with grades increasing at depth.

The purpose of the drilling was to better define the economic potential and the structural control of the MRG gold mineralization, and to determine the potential of the SIP structure.

Hole MR-05-004 was drilled on section 1200 NE, the same section as MR-03-001 and -003 (see news release of February 11, 2004). The hole collared in good grade gold mineralization (0.90 meters averaging 10.1 gpt). The hole was deepened to test the SIP structure at depth (see news release of August 25, 2005). Hole MR-05-005 was a short hole drilled to determine the structural footwall of the MRG alteration zone. Hole MR-05-006 was an infill hole collared on section 1175 NE.

The gold mineralizing events observed on the Middle River property are interpreted to have been extensive, intensive and repetitive, and were controlled by permissive lithologies and structures.

Mineral zoning along the structures is significant -- when apple green Cr-mica alteration appears, close proximity to gold mineralization is indicated. Mineral zoning within the SIP gold zone indicates that this is the top of a new gold system that is open at depth and down plunge.

The discovery of the SIP zone within 90 meters of the MRG zone demonstrates the limited extent of the historical exploration work, while underscoring the upside potential for new gold discoveries on the Middle River property.

First Narrows either owns, or has the right to own, a 100% interest in the 763 claims that comprise the Middle River property. Mr. Arthur Hamilton, P.Geo., is the Company's Qualified Person on the Middle River Project. Mr. Hamilton was formerly Chief Mine Geologist for Noranda's Heath Steele Division.
