First Narrows Intersects Strongly Mineralized Zone in MRG Gold Structure at Middle River

MRG Gold Zone Open on Trend to Southwest of Intersection

VANCOUVER, BC -- (MARKET WIRE) -- September 6, 2005 -- First Narrows Resources Corp. (TSX-V: UNO) ("First Narrows" or the "Company") is pleased to report that the current gold exploration drilling program on the Company's Middle River property has intersected significant mineralization (pyrite, arsenopyrite, quartz) in Hole MR-05-011 at the southwest limit of drilling of the MRG gold zone. The intercept is approximately 300 meters southwest of the holes recently reported on (see new release of August 25, 2005).

Hole MR-05-011, the last of the initial 8-hole MRG drill program, intersected 8.3 meters of pyrite, arsenopyrite and quartz mineralization in volcanic-sedimentary units previously uncovered in a trench in 1988. Three historical grab samples from the trench assayed 0.64, 1.247, and 0.197 ounces per tonne ("opt") gold. A bulk sample of trench material weighing 93 lbs. assayed 1.03 opt gold. Pyrite and arsenopyrite are apparent in the drill core (see photos on the Company's website: www.uno.ca). The main mineralized structural zone extends from 4.5 to 12.6 meters for an estimated true thickness of 6.2 meters.

The Company is in the process of extending the grid and geophysical coverage of the MRG gold zone and structure to the southwest beyond the intersection in hole MR-05-011, where it remains open on trend and at depth.

Drill core from hole MR-05-011 has been sampled and the core samples have been sent to Activation Laboratories Ltd. for analysis. Drilling continues approximately 1 km on trend to the northeast of the MRG and SIP zones to evaluate additional gold targets.

First Narrows either owns, or has the right to own, a 100% interest in the 763 claims that comprise the Middle River property. Mr. Arthur Hamilton, P.Geo., is the Company's Qualified Person on the Middle River Project. Mr. Hamilton was formerly Chief Mine Geologist for Noranda's Heath Steele Division.
