First Narrows Provides Exploration Update

Summer 2005 Program Will Focus on Drilling Priority VMS and Gold Targets on the Middle River and Chester Properties in the Bathurst Mining Camp, NB

VANCOUVER, BC -- (MARKET WIRE) -- July 25, 2005 -- First Narrows Resources Corp. (TSX-V: UNO) ("First Narrows" or the "Company") is pleased to provide an update on Company activities and an overview of its summer work programs:

First Narrows either owns, or has the right to own, a 100% interest in 7 properties in the Bathurst Mining Camp ("BMC"), New Brunswick -- the Chester, Middle River, Hubbards Pond, Kagout, Moose Lake Fault, Railroad, and Roller properties. The properties total more than 1,631 mineral claims and make the Company the second largest mineral rights holder in the BMC.

The Company's exploration focus this summer will be the Middle River and Chester properties. Funds from the $1,300,000 financing completed on July 21, 2005 (see release), will be used for drill evaluation of priority VMS and gold targets. Mr. Arthur Hamilton, P.Geo., is the Company's Qualified Person on the Chester and Middle River Projects. Mr. Hamilton is the former Chief Mine Geologist for Noranda's Heath Steele Division.

The 2005 exploration program is underway. The focus will be on drilling a VMS target and a series of 5 parallel gold geochemical and geophysical anomalies. The VMS target (anomaly "MR1") is an undrilled airborne MegaTEM II and gravity anomaly that has been shown to have coincident soil geochemical anomalies. The gold targets are interpreted to reflect gold mineralization along thrust faults.

Geological History

The earliest mineralizing events on the Middle River property were associated with the volcanism that led to the formation of the VMS deposits of the BMC. The MR1 target occurs on the extension of Noranda's BMS#12 mine horizon 9km north of the mine. The 9 Mile Brook Synform formed during a slightly younger period of subsidence to the west of the MR1 target. Ongoing thrust faulting, subsidence, and the intrusion of mafic igneous rocks in the keel area of the synform, are interpreted to have led to basinal fluid dewatering along the thrust faults, and to the formation of the known gold zones and proximal gold exploration targets.

Line Cutting

Grid extensions and in-fill lines totalling approximately 50km are being cut over the priority VMS target and the gold targets in the younger thrust belt.

Ground Geophysical Surveys

IP, HLEM, magnetic, VLF, and gravity surveys are being completed on the VMS target. IP, VLF and magnetic surveys are being completed on the gold targets.

Drilling is expected to commence in early August with up to 4,000 meters of core drilling planned with 2 drill rigs.

The 2005 exploration program is in progress. The program will consist mainly of drill evaluation of a cluster of previously undrilled airborne VTEM anomalies at, and to the west and northwest of, the known Chester feeder and VMS deposits.

Geological History

The Chester area is characterized by a cluster of paleo-volcanic sea-floor feeder vents (black smokers) and associated VMS deposits. The VTEM anomalies indicate that the sea-floor black smokers and VMS deposits were not restricted to the known zones of mineralization, but in fact developed extensively to the west and northwest of the known deposits over an area of greater than 20 sq km.

VTEM Survey

Final processing and interpretation results have been received from Condor Consulting of Lakewood, Colorado. Priority targets are being selected for drilling.

Geochemical Survey

Soil sample geochemistry is in progress.

Up to 3,000 meters of core drilling is planned. Drilling will commence following completion of the Middle River drill project.
