First Nickel Appoints John Eby as Director

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 15, 2007) - First Nickel Inc. (TSX:FNI) -

Thomas F. Pugsley, Chairman has announced the appointment of John C. Eby as a Director of First Nickel Inc.

After a distinguished 29 year career with the Bank of Nova Scotia, Mr. Eby retired in 2006 as Vice Chairman of Scotia Capital where he was Head of the Mining Practice, which included providing investment banking, and lending and trading services, as well as offering merger and acquisition advice to the mining sector. Mr Eby is also a director of Inmet Mining Corporation, a Trustee of the Wajax Income Fund, and a Director of Monterey Exploration. Mr Eby's appointment took effect November 8, 2007.

First Nickel is a Canadian mining and exploration company.
