First Nickel Inc.: Gerry Bilodeau Appointed as General Manager-Sudbury Opertations

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - March 22, 2007) - - First Nickel Inc. (TSX:FNI) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Gerry Bilodeau as General Manager - Sudbury Operations. Mr. Bilodeau has many years of senior operations management experience with Falconbridge/Noranda, most notably as Manager Mining at the Kidd Mine D Project in Timmins and as Project Superintendent during development and construction at Falconbridge's remote Raglan Project in northern Quebec. He is experienced in all phases of underground mine operations and has a proven track record in development and construction management and in building and leading operating teams.

We have ambitious development plans at both our Lockerby Mine and other projects in Sudbury. First Nickel is a Canadian mining and exploration company. Its current activities are primarily focused on the Sudbury Basin in northern Ontario, the location of the company's producing property (the Lockerby Mine) and four of its exploration properties.
