First Pursuit Announces Change of Directors

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Nov. 17, 2008) - First Pursuit Ventures Ltd. ("First Pursuit" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:FPV), listed on the TSX Venture Exchange Inc. (the "Exchange") under the trading symbol "FPV", is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Chris Wilson and Mr. David Seers as new directors of First Pursuit. The appointment follows the resignations of Dr. David Stone and Mr. John Carlesso as directors of First Pursuit on November 17, 2008. Both the resignations and appointments of the directors are subject to TSX Venture Exchange approval.

Dr. Wilson is an exploration geologist with over 15 years of varied industry experience and has worked in over 40 countries. Dr. Wilson graduated with a bachelor of science degree (honours) in geology from University College of Wales, Aberystwyth, in 1985 and with a PhD from the Flinders University of South Australia in 1991. Dr. Wilson is a chartered professional geologist and fellow of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and a fellow of the Society of Economic Geologists. Dr. Wilson is presently working as an independent consultant geologist and has previously consulted as an associate principal consultant with SRK (UK) and SRKES. Dr. Wilson was the Exploration Manager for Ivanhoe Mines (Mongolia), where he was responsible for countrywide grass-roots exploration, area selection and management of an exploration and advanced project portfolio totalling over 112,000 km2. Dr. Wilson has worked in over 40 countries.

Mr. Seers is an exploration geologist with over 5 years of industry experience from grass-roots exploration and area selection through to resource definition and mining geology. Mr. Seers has worked in over 15 countries and is currently consulting as a senior exploration geologist for Exploration Alliance Ltd. He has been involved, at all levels, in the planning and undertaking of exploration programs, including: grass-roots and resource definition drilling; underground and surface mapping and sampling; geochemical surveys; preparation of exploration budgets; and project management. Mr. Seers graduated with a master degree (honours) in Applied Geology from Leicester University (UK) in 2003 and is a member of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and a member of the Society of Economic Geologists.

Dr. Stone and Mr. Carlesso have resigned from First Pursuit in order to pursue other business interests. The board of directors would like to thank Dr. Stone and Mr. Carlesso for their time with First Pursuit.

Currently, the Company is a mineral exploration company engaged in the acquisition, exploration, and development of strategic minerals properties in Canada. The Company is authorized to issue an unlimited number of common shares. As at November 14, 2008, there were 5,779,917 common shares outstanding.
