First-Quarter U.S. Project Cancellation Value Down 43% From Last Year, an Industrial Info News Alert

SUGAR LAND, TX--(Marketwire - April 6, 2011) -  Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas) -- Industrial Info's PECWeb Online Database shows that the value of cancelled projects that were planned to begin in the first quarter of the year has declined 43.5% from first-quarter 2010 to first-quarter 2011. In the Industrial Manufacturing Industry, while a higher number of planned first-quarter projects were cancelled this year, fewer high-ticket plans were stopped, leading to a significant decline in the value of cancelled projects. The Great Lakes region has fared best regionally year over year.
