First Responder Exposition and Awards Ceremony to Commence Tomorrow

MARKHAM, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - April 22, 2013) - On April 23 & 24, 2013, police, first responders and law enforcement officers from across Canada will converge on the LeParc Conference Centre (8432 Leslie St at Hwy. 7) in Markham, Ontario, to experience the latest gear and technology on offer at Blue Line Magazine's 17th Annual Exposition.

These men and women who protect our communities will see the latest in gear, gadgets and concepts that keep them safe and improve their service delivery. This includes: infra-red license plate recognition, unmanned aerial systems, wearable video recorders, Hazmat handling, custom tactical and riot gear, firearms, and the latest in police vehicle trends.


A new aspect to the Exposition will be a special Awards Banquet to be held on the evening of April 23rd beginning at 7:00 PM. This event will recognize and introduce the recipient of the 2012 Blue Line Police Leader of the year, Constable Randy Wood of the Halifax Regional Police. Speakers will include the recently appointed Chief of the Halifax Regional Police, Jean-Michel Blais.

Chiefs of police and other representatives from West Grey, Blood Tribe, Midland, Summerside, Abbottsford, and Six Nations Police as well as the Canadian Border Services Agency will receive awards for the Best Dressed Police Vehicles for 2013.
