First Sales Into Mexico for Winning Colours® Stain Remover

Laredo, Texas Distributor Serves Mexican Border Cities for Winning Brands

BARRIE, ON--(Marketwire - May 6, 2008) - Winning Brands Corporation (PINKSHEETS: WNBD) (FRANKFURT: WMU) (www.WinningBrands.ca) reports that sales of Winning Colours® Stain Remover to Mexico will commence now that Clark Hardware of Laredo, Texas has issued its official opening order for the popular new stain remover. The Texas-based distributor already has Mexican accounts and will now be moving Winning Colours® across the Rio Grande for the first time into Hispanic markets. Mexico, USA and Canada are all North American Free Trade Agreement partners. Clark is a member of the Val-Test Buying and Marketing Group and is a further example of Winning Brands business developments initiated at this Naples, Florida annual buying show in January 2008.

Winning Brands officials had been reluctant to predict Mexican sales before now because of delays that can be associated with new business initiatives in that country. Winning Brands management waited for the right business relationships on the U.S. and Mexican side of the border with parties first who have related practical experience, appropriate target-market connections that are already set up and personnel that are available on the spot. This approach reduces the likelihood of slow downs by the red-tape that often plague less experienced exporters to Mexico. Clark is already an exporter of complementary products with frequent deliveries to suitable retailers in Northern Mexico. Winning Colours® Stain Remover information will be added in due course to the new Clark website that is now under development at www.ClarkShowroom.com.

Winning Brands Corporation had been strategizing a realistic way to have a business presence in Mexico, choosing the border zone, with its permanent population of more than 12 million, as the first step into Mexico. Clark Hardware has the stipulated qualifications to be Winning Brands' launch partner in the zone. The Winning Colours® bottles that Clark will be selling into Mexico had already been labelled bilingually in English/Spanish in anticipation of this development. Mexico has a population of over 100 million people. There are 31 twin border crossings between the U.S. and Mexico with communities on both sides. The best known of these are San Diego/Tijuana, El Paso/Ciudad Juarez, Laredo/Nuevo Laredo and Brownsville/Matamoras. The border is said to be the most frequently crossed international boundary in the world with 250 million annual crossings. Clark is active in this region. Mr. Vidal Cantu of Clark Hardware recently stated that he is proud that Winning Brands is providing Clark Hardware with eco-responsible solutions for their Mexican and local accounts. Clark Hardware is initially taking delivery of the 30.7fl.oz package for introduction to those accounts.

Winning Brands' Senior V.P. Lorne Kelly points out that building relationships takes time, but also that good relationships are more enduring. "Yes, we were selective. We could have rushed to market last year for the sake of it and now be stuck in the quick sand of poorly considered cultural and legal issues. Instead, we are working with proven performers and things are going smoothly from the outset. You can't build a business like Clark's without knowing what you are doing in this market. The fact that they are eager to get started with Winning Colours® Stain Remover says a lot about the product's potential here," remarks Kelly.

Winning Brands Corporation manufactures Winning Colours® Stain Remover for consumer and commercial use as an eco-responsible alternative to traditional solvents.
