Enjoy an Evening in Laguna Beach -- Gallery Openings, Artist Demonstrations and Live Music

LAGUNA BEACH, CA--(Marketwire - February 26, 2010) -  Laguna Beach is a well-known art destination. To experience it, all one needs to do is check out First Thursdays Art Walk and all its FREE special events on March 4th to be instantly emerged in the cultural art scene. In a relaxed atmosphere, there's an opportunity to invest in contemporary or historical local or international artwork. It's all represented. 

Suggested first stop is the 5 p.m. pre-event, hosted by Community Art Project (CAP), at Wells Fargo Bank located at 260 Ocean Avenue where the stunning installation by award-winning artist Mike Tauber will be revealed. It's not to be missed. Throughout the evening see artists in action and watch their creative process when visiting them at many galleries demonstrating their techniques and sharing their insights. The following artists will be participating: Kevin Davidson at Laguna North Gallery; John Eagle at Studio 7; artists at Artist Eye Laguna Gallery and Jan Magdaleno at The Esther Wells Collection. Each of their styles and characters are uniquely Laguna.

This jam-packed evening includes a multitude of galleries to see from Downtown to Gallery Row to Bluebird to Brooks. This happening is also enhanced by performances by local musicians and gallery hospitality. It's easy to get to all destinations, simply hop the FREE trolley, another distinctively Laguna experience. Be sure to ask the trolley docents for their recommendations as to where the next stop should be. At any gallery also pick up an Art Walk brochure that includes a map and features all the evening's special events. Other highlights include the latest exhibition at Laguna Art Museum, "OsCene - 2010," featuring the latest in contemporary art in the OC., curated by Grace Kook-Anderson and the Laguna College of Art & Design exhibit, "William Stout: Antarctica to Zombies."
