First Utility Produces Online Guide to Home Energy Bills

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwire - April 3, 2012) - First Utility (http://www.first-utility.com/) is committed to giving households more control of their energy usage and a greater understanding of their bills. With this in mind, the company behind the UK's cheapest energy deal* has produced an online guide to cut the complexity out of energy bills.

As part of its mission to provide the most detailed bills in the gas and electricity industry, First Utility worked closely with consumer group Which? to make sure its bills are as simple and as straightforward as possible.

The guide includes an example of a First Utility gas and electricity bill with the various elements broken down into individual sections where readers can find more information.

It was recently confirmed First Utility offers the cheapest electricity and gas deal* in Britain through its iSave tariff, with most of the Big Six suppliers' deals costing over £100 more.

First Utility CEO Ian McCaig states: "There is a huge opportunity for First Utility to make a real and positive difference for consumers, both in terms of their control over their energy use and in reducing their bills. The next year will see us introduce new and better platforms to improve customer experience and launch a range of new services. I am particularly excited about our work with US-based energy efficiency company Opower, which will give people access to unique tools and information regarding their energy consumption and will empower them to make real changes to the way they use energy."
