Firstlogic Announces LACSLink™ Certification, Availability of LACSLink Option

Accurate, Efficient Customer Data Saves Mailers Expense of Tracking Recently Converted Physical Addresses

LA CROSSE, WI -- (MARKET WIRE) -- June 14, 2005 -- Firstlogic, Inc., a global provider of commercial mail and information quality software solutions, announced the certification of the only single-pass option available today that complies with the United States Postal Service® (USPS®) LACSLink standards. A time and money saving necessity for all mailing systems, Firstlogic's LACSLink option provides updates for addresses recently changed by municipalities, such as renamed streets or newly named rural areas. Because Firstlogic's LACSLink option is already USPS certified, no special certification is required on the commercial user end.

Firstlogic's LACSLink solution is available today as an option to Firstlogic's Postalsoft® suite of mail automation software, which provides mailers with a full complement of solutions to correct, standardize, and enhance mailing lists, match and consolidate duplicate information, and prepare and sort database records to USPS standards -- ensuring fast delivery and maximum postage savings.

With more than five million records in the LACSLink database, LACSLink provides mailers an automated method of obtaining updated addresses following a community's addressing conversions. LACSLink includes coverage for streets that have been renamed in recognition of an individual, organization or an event, such as 915 Smith Avenue changed to 915 Veterans Drive. Additionally, LACSLink updates rural route and highway addresses into street number and name format, conversions required to allow emergency response services to find rural residences. Addresses formerly known as Rural Route 1, Dakota would now be known as 1738 210th Street or W37N4 Highway 20. Other LACSLink changes reflect post office box renumbering -- such as PO Box 123 to PO Box 55512.

"LACSLink is a monumental change, but one that will help many organizations stay in contact with their customers -- and keep their addresses clean," said Chris Lien, Firstlogic commercial mail market manager. "By developing a one-pass solution for address correction, Firstlogic is saving our customers time and money. By including the LACSLink integration into address cleanse operations, businesses have a greater chance of effectively reaching customers at their correct address."

"When we originally architected the PostalSoft suite, Firstlogic completed the extra work to create solutions for emerging tools like LACSLink. This forward-thinking solution allows our customers to easily and seamlessly put into place data quality best practices without additional needs for certification through the USPS," said Paula Stoskopf, Firstlogic senior product manager for Postalsoft.
