Fish for the Whole-Some Family

MISSION, KS--(Marketwire - Aug 15, 2011) - (Family Features) Anyone looking for nutritious meals the whole family will enjoy can look to flavorful and versatile seafood as a go-to ingredient.

Seafood makes preparing healthful, wholesome meals both simple and delicious. And, SeaPak Shrimp Company's wide variety of coastal inspired products makes incorporating seafood into family favorites easier than ever before. Here are some simple ways to enjoy wholesome seafood:

  • Substitute seafood for beef or chicken to make main-stay menu items such as macaroni and cheese, spaghetti, baked potatoes and sandwiches sea-friendly. It's a great way to help children incorporate new foods in to their diet while serving a wholesome family meal.
  • Instead of chicken fingers or fish sticks, try popcorn fish. Unlike minced meat pick-up foods, SeaPak Popcorn Fish is made from whole-cut pollock fillets and lightly breaded in a signature seasoning. The round, bite-sized treats are perfect for a snack on-the-go or a main dish meal. Baked in 15 minutes, they also help you avoid a dinnertime rush.
  • For little shrimp lovers, there is no better mealtime hero than SeaPak Popcorn Shrimp. These tail-off treats pack a major protein punch and are perfect for an after-school snack, a slumber party treat or weeknight meal.

These recipes show that making family comfort food coastal has never been so easy -- or tasted so good.
