Fisher Communications, Inc. Hires Christopher J. Bellavia as Vice President, Senior Attorney and Corporate Secretary

SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwire - November 12, 2008) - Fisher Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: FSCI) announced today that Christopher J. Bellavia has joined the company as Vice President, Senior Attorney and Corporate Secretary. He is responsible for legal, corporate compliance and governance issues for the Company, and he reports to Fisher President and Chief Executive Officer Colleen B. Brown.

Before joining Fisher, Mr. Bellavia worked for Washington Mutual, Inc. where he handled extensive corporate governance issues and general corporate, securities and transactional matters. Prior to that, he practiced law in the Seattle office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati where he represented technology companies and handled corporate and securities matters, mergers and acquisitions and financing transactions.

Mr. Bellavia graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from St. John Fisher College in Rochester, New York, and earned his J.D. from Cornell Law School.
