SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwire - April 5, 2011) - Fisher Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: FSCI), a leader in local media innovation, today announced that Colleen B. Brown, the Company's President and Chief Executive Officer, is one of the six recipients of Broadcasting & Cable's ("B&C") 2011 Technology Leadership Award. The winners will be honored at an awards reception that B&C is hosting on Monday, April 11th as part of the National Association of Broadcasters' Convention in Las Vegas.

"We are thrilled to announce the 14th Annual Technology Leadership Honorees for 2011," said Louis Hillelson, Vice President/Group Publisher of Broadcasting & Cable. "These awards pay tribute to technology leaders who have displayed innovation, imagination and achievement. "I am honored to receive this prestigious award, which reflects Fisher's commitment to combine the power of traditional broadcast with technological innovation to redefine how we are serving our communities in this increasingly fragmented environment," said Ms. Brown.
