SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwire - Aug 23, 2012) - Fisher Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: FSCI), a leader in local media innovation, announced today that David Praga has been promoted to Vice President. Praga will continue to serve in his role as General Manager of Fisher's KIMA-TV/KEPR-TV/KUNW-TV/CW9 television stations in Yakima/Tri-Cities, Washington, and KLEW-TV in Lewiston, Idaho.

Mr. Praga began his career at KEPR-TV almost 21 years ago as a Sales Assistant and has held various leadership roles at the station, including Operations Director, Account Executive and Station Manager. During his career, he has been involved with many community organizations, including the Washington State Association of Broadcasters, where he is currently serving his fifth year as a member of the Board of Directors.

"It is a great honor to lead our teams in Yakima, Tri-Cities and Lewiston as they provide local news, entertainment, community outreach and marketing solutions to advertisers on our CBS, Univision and CW affiliated stations," said Praga. "They have created significant momentum over the last year and we look forward to continuing to evolve our local media properties to meet the changing needs of our viewers and advertisers."
