Fisher Communications Promotes Randa Minkarah to SVP Business Development

SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwire - March 16, 2010) -  Fisher Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: FSCI), a leader in local media innovation, announced today that Randa Minkarah has been named Senior Vice President Business Development for Fisher Communications, responsible for developing revenue generating initiatives through strategic alliances and partnerships.

Minkarah's duties will focus on the development of digital revenue sources as well as identifying opportunities to leverage the company's assets through cross-marketing, content sharing and other relationships. She will identify new streams of revenue within the context of the company's broadcast to broadband strategic initiative. 

She will report directly to Fisher President and Chief Executive Officer Colleen B. Brown.

Since March 2009 Minkarah has served as Fisher's Vice President of Business Development. Minkarah joined Fisher's corporate team as Director of Market Development in 2007 and prior to that was the General Sales Manager of KOMO 4, the company's flagship television station.

She holds a BFA in Broadcasting from the University of Cincinnati.
