Fisheries and Oceans Canada: Closed Areas for Shellfish Harvesting North Shore

QUEBEC CITY, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - June 17, 2008) - Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Quebec Region, wants to inform the North Shore population that the harvesting of shellfish is now forbidden due to toxicity , in accordance with the prohibition order mentioned below, and pursuant to subsection 3(1) of the Management of Contaminated Fisheries Regulations, in the following shellfish areas:



Prohibition Order No.: QTN-449

Pointe a Emile
From Pointe a Emile to a point near of the sawmill.

Pointe a Boisvert
From a point near of the sawmill to Pointe a Boisvert's navigation light.

Anse du Colombier
From a point located 300 meters east of Riviere Colombier's mouth to Cap
Colombier's lighthouse.

Pointe-aux-Outardes (est)
From the Fisheries and Oceans marker to La Grosse Pointe.
