Fitness First Announces Mel B as the Face of International Fitness Week for a Third Year

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwire - Feb. 27, 2011) - Fitness First has announced Mel B as the face of International Fitness Week for a third consecutive year as it looks to make the world a fitter place.

The worlds largest privately owned health club group has worked with the former Spice Girl for the last three years on various projects and cemented her as the face of its International Fitness Week which runs March 14 – 20 2011.

The week, launched in 2009 originally as National Fitness Week has been developed into a global campaign by Fitness First to get everyone exercising and doing something they enjoy.

The message for International Fitness Week 2011 is 'Get Moving' and by making small changes and becoming more active you will not only become fitter but boast a healthier body both inside and out.

During the week itself Fitness First will open its doors at all clubs inviting both members and non-members to get involved. It will offer more group exercise classes during the week itself including the new class Get Fit with Mel B which hits the clubs in November 2010. Personal training taster sessions and free health checks will also be on offer for people to take advantage of.

The fitness fanatic Mel B who's currently starring in her own show 'It's a Scary World' on The Style Network said of her excitement for the campaign: "We've really made some fab progress over the last two campaigns and bringing more people to find something they like and make exercise part of their everyday life. I'm proud to be a part of it and can't wait to bring International Fitness Week back in 2011."
