Five Elms Capital Invests in Smart Warehousing

Investment Adds Institutional Support to Smart Warehousing as the Company Continues to Grow

KANSAS CITY, KS--(Marketwire - May 11, 2011) - Smart Warehousing (www.smartwarehousing.com), a technology-enabled warehousing and supply chain management firm, announces an investment by Five Elms Capital (www.fiveelms.com). While Smart Warehousing is profitable, the company is excited to add institutional support as it builds a sales team and seeks regional warehousing acquisitions in its current markets as well as Reno, Salt Lake, Phoenix, Dallas, and Boise.

Smart Warehousing provides a unique cloud-based supply chain software system alongside physical warehousing, fulfillment, and value-added services to over 350 clients. The company's solution allows small and medium-sized businesses to have "Walmart-like" ability to see and manage inventory. Smart Warehousing currently operates over 1.7 million square feet of warehousing space in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Florida, Pennsylvania, Washington, California, and Hawaii.

Smart Warehousing CEO Carl Wasinger said, "We have worked hard to create a flexible tool that can be quickly and cost effectively customized to fit each client's needs as they grow. We provide real time solutions and management of both physical storefront and ecommerce inventory to clients of any size, and our value added services have provided significant cost savings and a more efficient supply chain to clients including Lego's retail stores and ePay."

Fred Coulson, Managing Partner of Five Elms Capital, said, "Smart Warehousing has grown rapidly solely through word of mouth, so we are excited to partner with management as they build a sales team and look to proactively acquire regional warehouses across the U.S."
